Jenkins, 45, of 3270 Walton Riverwood Lane, Atlanta, and charged him with theft of more than $1 million, theft by deception of more than $1 million, money laundering and computer fraud. Lincolnshire police spokesman John-Erik Anderson said officers planned on nabbing him in Atlanta, but had to change plans when they learned that he had taken a companion to the theme park. Jenkins, a former employee of Aon Hewitt, 4 Overlook Point in Lincolnshire, allegedly used the names of other employees to transmit money from a pool account to a personal account, police said. According to Anderson, Aon Hewitt officials found such transactions dating back to 2010. The Lincolnshire officers trip also involved stops around Cobb County, Ga., where they carried out search warrants on Jenkins home and several businesses connected to him, Anderson said. The theft charges are both Class X felonies. Jenkins could face six to 30 years in prison.
